[January 24th, 2024 | Gitcoin Grants Stack] 🚢 Shipped: Base & zkSync Support

What’s New

The Grants Stack team is excited to announce that Grants Stack is now supported on Base and zkSync Era!

Now, Grants Managers can create and run rounds on either Base or zkSync Era via Grants Stack Manager, and similarly, any builders can also choose to create a project profile on Base or zkSync Era via Grants Stack Builder. If you have an existing project on Builder, you can also use that project to apply to any new rounds deployed on zkSync or Base.

On Base, the following tokens are supported for payouts and for donations:

  • ETH
  • USDC

On zkSync, the following tokens are supported for payouts and for donations:

  • ETH
  • DAI
  • USDT
  • LUSD
  • MUTE

Why Now?

The Grants Stack team is focused on self-serve adoption of the product at this stage, and are excited about the new opportunities that come with supporting Grants Stack on Base & zkSync. We hope to make Grants Stack more accessible to those in the Base and zkSync ecosystem, and hope to power more grant rounds and funding opportunities within both ecosystems as a

result.

How does it work?

When using any of our Grants Stack apps (Builder, Manager, Explorer), you’ll be prompted to connect your wallet. Upon connecting your wallet, you’ll be able to select which network you want to use the app on. With Base and zkSync now supported, you’ll be able to choose either Base or zkSync in addition to the existing supported networks.

Once you select your network of choice, you can then use the apps as usual. On Builder, you can create a project, apply to rounds, etc. On Manager, you can create programs, create and run rounds, etc. On Explorer, you can find rounds, donate to rounds, etc.

Additionally, you’ll be able to see new matching estimates when checking out projects in a round. The matching estimates incorporate your donation impact, i.e. if your donation impact is 50%, and the full match for your donation is $100, then the matching you qualify at time of checkout would be $50. Note that you can always increase your Passport score, and thus increase your donation impact score and potential matching, anytime before the round(s) you have donated to have ended.

[June 23rd, 2023 | Gitcoin Grants Stack]

We’re excited to announce the launch of Gitcoin Grants Stack earlier this week: a decentralized, protocol-enabled solution that enables any community to create, manage and grow a Quadratic Funding grants program.

Powered by Allo, Gitcoin’s open-source funding allocation protocol, this product suite enables streamlined management and capital allocation processes for grants program managers while connecting them with project owners and supporters to grow their respective ecosystems.

With Gitcoin Grants Stack, you can:

  • Launch and manage a Quadratic Funding round with ease
  • Empower grant applicants to mobilize their community while building onchain reputation
  • Enable supporters to vote with their capital to fund projects they care about
  • Distribute matching funds to projects that receive the highest number of donations
  • Protect grants programs, grantees and supporters from bots and bad actors using Gitcoin Passport Integration
